Ghafari Construction Manager in Glendale, Kentucky
Responsibilities
*Note- this position is located on-site in Glendale, KY
General Summary:
The Construction Manager, represents the Owners in all aspects of construction including Quality of Process, Quality of Product, and Documentation. Ensure that construction work is carried out in accordance with Quality Assurance (QA) and safety, and environment programs, guidelines and regulations as applicable. The Construction Manager is responsible for documenting, adherence to and discrepancies in the inspect and test plan for every aspect of building construction including but not limited to earthwork, drainage systems, concrete, steel, utilities, mechancial, electrical as well as other components.
Essential Job Functions:
Witness inspection of installation, testing and commissioning per project quality requirements.
Monitors and documents, with photographs and written reports, the work in progress on site for facility projects during construction, commissioning, final acceptance, and post-construction phases in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and the project schedule.
Provide reports to the Construction Lead on all site matters, including third-party inspections, progress field changes, safety concerns and causes for delay.
Maintain job site files, documents, reports, daily logs and prepare daily activity reports for the site Construction Lead.
Liaise with the General Contractor’s Quality and Environmental team and attend construction meetings as required.
Review construction documents and shop submittals as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field preferred or related work experience
Professional Registration preferred
Skills/Competencies:
5 years of experience with construction and the administration of construction contracts.
Experience with concrete paving preferred
Safety training preferred
Fall Protection training preferred
Skills/Competencies:
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Schedule, AutoCAD, eBuilder, and Revit experience preferred
Excellent communication and written skills
