Ghafari IT Operations- Help Desk Technician in Dearborn, Michigan

Responsibilities

General Summary:

The IT Operations – Help Desk Technician will apply skills and knowledge of the computer system to maintain and support users of Ghafari and G-TECH computer systems.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for monitoring Help Desk Ticket System, fielding Help Desk support calls, providing end user support, maintaining and organizing system backups, and file archiving and retrieving

  • Provides user support (Hardware and Software) for all office locations

  • Works closely with users to lend support with application, printing, plotting and file errors

  • Load/unload/upgrade system software/hardware as required

  • Configure phone and voicemail for employees

  • Assists in preventative maintenance of computers (hardware and software)

  • Provides user support for both internal and external clients (employees)

  • Deploys team oriented problem solving

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Employment Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Science Technology, or related field requested

Experience:

  • 5+ years progressive work experience in Information Technology

  • Experience working in a multicultural environment

Skills/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of:

  • Windows 8 and 10

  • Windows Server 2012 & 2016 operating systems

  • Autodesk applications

  • Backup Exec

  • Bentley applications

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Symantec Ghost

  • Excellent customer service and a positive attitude

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
